kkulecruHello! Thank you for taking a look at my Yuletide letter (I've finally worked up the enery and foresight to write one for this year's entry).
In general I very happily read a vast array of fic, so I’m just going to throw a whole bunch of indicative vibes down here for you. Feel free to follow or ignore as you like, but I hope this helps give an idea of what I have in mind going into this exchange.

General Likes/Preferences
Some General Likes (not exclusive)
- Queer headcanons and queer relationships; unconventional formats, qprs, etc
- Outsider povs of relationships/character interactions
- Character/relationship studies, including missing scenes, fleshing out backstories, and what-if scenarios. Sometimes a good slice of life is all you need!
- Classic caretaking scenarios (any degree of hurt/comfort) (forced or otherwise)
- Wingfic and omegaverse (non-traditional especially)
- Canon divergence/butterfly effect explorations
- Gratuitous worldbuilding, especially when it comes to magic mechanics (magical realism my beloved)
- Scenarios that cause/might lead to moral corruption
- Fantasy/mythological/supernatural elements
- Dubiously bad end/mindfuck scenarios that maybe only look bad to an outsider, or just letting those lil guys loose in a spooky scenario for them to have a terrible wonderful time

Speaking of, kinks with a big green tick include:

- Praise kink, especially for a character not used to/expecting it

- Pregnancy/birth/kidfic (breeding kink itself is fine, and eggs are fine too)
- Anything relating to feederism / deliberate weight gain
- Normal modern setting AUs (coffee shop/school/flower shop etc. Different story if there's a magical/supernatural element in there too, though)
Pact - Wildbow
I absolutely love how Wildbow did the magic system in Pact, and bogeyman/Limbo mechanics especially just tickled my brain so perfectly... so seeing Blake go through it (and interact with Green Eyes) was definitely one of my highlights from the story.
I'm equally excited for something featuring them together (platonic/romanic/otherwise), or focused solely on one or the other.
Generally a huge fan of everything to do with Limbo and bogeymanning; survival, transformation, giving in/staying strong.. all those what-ifs around the different paths Blake could have taken throughout the story (bird Other vision, my love..)! I am also very fond of Green Eyes so seeing her bogeyman transformation/survival would be really fun (predatory instincts creeping in, her pov in general..)
You could also go pretty wild with the two of them when it comes to something explicit—the (mutual?) monsterfucking path is twisted and beautiful and beckoning.
Vague starting ideas include and are certainly not limited to: Green Eyes going hunting (either after genuine prey that is fresh in Limbo, or perhaps a scenario worked out with Blake?); Blake and his bird spirits, perhaps carving out moments of peace in their rare downtime (including Evan!); literally anything set in/around the epilogue chapter, or even right after 16.13 if you're particularly inspired/evil - the ending always makes me a bit emotional so do your worst there.

Carl/visions relating to him having a detailed presence in the story
괴담에 떨어져도 출근을 해야 하는구나 - 백덕수 | Even If I Fall Into a Ghost Story I Still Have to Go to Work - Baek Deoksoo
Soleum is a little black cat who I do particularly love to see kicked around and either made to suffer or nursed back to dubious health. Seeing all those opening chapters in part 2 to where we are now has really given me a never-ending feast.
I like how he is ghost story catnip, and particularly enjoy his interactions with Yongyong and Braun. In general I feel like this is such fertile ground for hurt/comfort (with dubious or minimal comfort, even!)... ghost story corruption is a wonderful mechanic to work with, and I’ve loved how it’s used in the story (so it never gets old for me).
J3 and Soleum is also something I’d be very interested in, particularly building on what we’ve seen most recently in ch273 and ch277~80... the big bad eldritch wolf would be pretty fun to work with for some explicit scenes if you were so inclined.
But otherwise, I’m also a big fan of all the found family potential and having to take care of your hard-working rookie (with whichever team you'd like to stick Soleum in), if something lighter/more comfort-focused is your thing. I’m more than down for that too!
Vaguely more concrete potential suggestions include:
- A friendly dragon mascot looking after either a lost Good Child or a new mascot in the resort. Love mascot corruption!
- A friendly ancient dragon (?) looking after a little baby dragon-hybrid-creature
- The gold mine that is outsider povs of Soleum being corrupted by the talk show, or perhaps having to relapse there for a team-saving, self-sacrificial reason
- A what-if for ch279, if he took Braun’s suggestion
- Explicitly flavoured ghost story predicaments...
DNW:
Modern au/non-ghost story setting (unless it’s more than it seems and Soleum is still himself!)
Matthew Swift Series - Kate Griffin
This series truly opened me up to the wonders of urban magic. I really love how the Matthew Swift-Angel POV was written and I'd really love... anything featuring them as an entity; an outsider perspective, some unseen aspects of daily life.... literally anything! I love the Angels and their grubby sorcerer host that runs on fumes very very much so go wild. Angels versus humanity, perhaps canon divergences in their mechanics/effects on deteriotating humanity, somehow...
Also would love any magical worldbuilding that you feel like weaving in!
If you felt like going explicit - there's a pretty easy and flimsy conceit of the Angels seeking to satisfy.. curiousity and wonder.. in regards to how that side of humanity feels.. perhaps? You could have a lot of fun playing around there I think.
I'm pretty partial to seeing Matthew and the Angels as one, but a solo/Angel-focused fic might be very interesting too!
Dangerous Crow Boy Whose Job It Is to Destroy Plastic (Tumblr Post)
This whole thing made me laugh so much. I had to request it. I refuse to look at anything from the actual source book(s?) so this is just a really fun sandbox.. please go ham!
- Are all fae bird-like, are the crow-types the ones with the plastic-eating jobs, or is crow boy just super duper unique and maybe an outcast?
- How does magic even work here...
- Perhaps there's a very lighthearted plastic-consuming spree in the real world (?) because crow boy can make portals (?) apparently (?)
I think it would be really fun if you yuri-fied them also, maybe.. (in which case I would actually love a more serious Crow Girl and the woman she is obsessed with (and especially wholeheartedly embracing something as dark and explicit as you like... potential fae elements/wingfic my kryptonite but apparently only if it’s not het..))
Katabasis - R. F. Kuang
Such a huge fan of the magic and general worldbuilding potential in this setting. Please go nuts! Academic/university nostalgia bait, in-universe writing/media, fake academic papers, even...
Otherwise, character-wise I do love the Alice/Peter rivalry, or even swerving and exploring something more between Alice and Elspeth would be interesting.
And Archimedes my beloved cat! I think seeing scenes from his POV, or just exploring his own adventures, or even just how cats and magic interact here... I would take anything for that lovely little guy.
Truly would eat anything up here happily.
DNW:
- Emphasis on Grimes’s interactions with Alice as the main focus of the story, or going further than what is shown in canon
Delivery Dancer's Sphere (2023)
I am so in love with Ayoung Kim's work here.
There's so much worldbuilding potential! Exploring Dancemaster technology! The relationship between Dancers and time! How does working in the job change you... does it get a bit more seroius/horrifying with the side effects/consequences of all this... time fuckery?
The inherently charged tension of you and your doppelganger sharing the same space... would eat up something explicit and fun set right after that final ride on the bike (because bikes are fun!)?
(if you know the sequel work Delivery Dancer's Arc: 0° Receiver, anything from that overarching story/bridging the gap between the two would be fascinating as well)
Super open to anything here because I was just so delighted to see that this was even a Yuletide option!
